anyone compare 1 antenna sys. with a 2 antenna sys.
I just wondering how many more pills the one antenna sys. would have to run to keep up with a 2 antenna sys. :D

it would have to be about triple, depending on how well both antenna set ups work.
One antenna 18 miles. 3x8 7-8 s units.
2 antennas same tx and rx locations 2x6 into the red.
not being sure what db's per s units a magnum have from say an 8 to into the red would be a minimum of 8db if its 3 db per s unit.
note the further away the rx target is the more the gain due to the angle of tx radiation.

thats a point that most don't consider..
when installing a bounceback antennas system you are lowering the angle of radiation-- and the 3db per S-unit rule isn't exactly relevant.
meaning you are pinpointing the signal more towards the gate station, when compared to a single omnidirectional antenna.
the take-off angle from a single antenna would be different (higher angled radiation pattern)... and most of the signal will go towards the back and sides.
the bounceback is a huge advantage.
I would like to know if one mobile suburban has a 2 pill with a properly tuned bounceback setup--- how much amplifier power would be needed to tie up with the bounceback, when using a single antenna? 8 pill? 12 pill?

there are so many varaibles that can determin that. BUT it almost sounds like testing time.
