We have outgrown our current basic web hosting which is on a server shared with hundreds of other websites. If you ever notice that during the day during heavy server load times every now and again you will get 500 Internal Server Error's or experience long loading times for threads this is due to heavy traffic on these other sites on the same server. It is also what has been keeping us from being able to offer hosting of larger file size images as the shared servers don't allow somewhat "large" upstream data transfer over HTTP.

So to combat all of this I have purchased a dual core AMD server with a RAID array which is being placed in a data center on a direct internet backbone with a gigabit network connection.

The migration process is going to take a few days, the forum may go offline at random times while I am backing up the mysql databases and files from the current server and moving them to the new server, as well as having the domain names pointed to the new server.

Please bare with me while this all happens. There's a small liklihood that some new posts may be lost in the migration process, but don't be discouraged as I insure everyone will appreciate the new servers speed and robustness. :)

Viva la Mauldroppers! :clap::clap::clap:

Thanks CR. I am going to make the server swap as seamless as possible.

IF THE SITE GOES DOWN FOR AN "EXTENDED" PERIOD OF TIME, I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE, IT'S HARD TO SAY WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN I REUPLOAD THE MYSQL DATABASES.

Yup I'll grab that too MoJo. Wish I could leave early so I could get to my super computer command center and get this done!!!
