i have a problem with my 200amp power supply i have a 2x8 and when I key the amp the power supply drops back to 9volts. so I turn the 2pill side off and I hook up a 1pill to drive the 8pill side it show 18volts at idle and when I key the 1pill it drops back to 14volts. why does the 1pill (2879) work instead of the 2pill

Pull the cover off while unplugged and make sure capacitor connections are tight. Also see if anything else is loose. What kind of hammer were you putting out on the waves.

i was getting 1900peak watts the big cap I bought a new one and that not the problem someone said it might be the Bridge Rectifier (http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geuyYc1utKY4UBfDNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTByMTNuNTZ zBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkAw--/SIG=12l4tp0n9/EXP=1257056156/**http%3a//hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electronic/rectbr.html) one might be going bad.

Yes, it could be a bridge rectifier. Does it have 2 large transformers or 4 smaller ones. Is this a 220 volt plugin. If so, might want to see if you have a bad leg as well. A couple of possibilities to look at.

You might also want to make sure all connections to the transformers are good. Might be one of the wires to one of the transformers came loose. If this all checks good then you do have a rectifier problem.
