Thank You Hack has been replaced with Helpful Answers System

Just an FYI to all forum members, we have changed the Post Thank You hack that you are used too at the end of each post with a new hack called Helpful Answers. This new system gives you the ability to like or dislike a post. As with the Thank you system, liking a post (up arrow) will give that poster reputation points. If you find a post that's uncalled for or contains bad information you can dislike the post with the down arrow which will decrease that posters reputation by 1 point. ANYONE CAUGHT ABUSING THE BAD POST ARROW TO DESTROY SOMEONES REPUTATION WILL BE BANNED! Please take this system seriously.

As the designer of this new hack continues to work out the bugs there will be more features that this hack has to offer, such as the most helpful answer of the entire thread being posted directly after the first post, as well as any posts that have a certain number of down arrow clicks automatically being collapsed and hidden from view.

Negative reputation has been disabled.... So if you receive a down arrow it will not impact your rep.

I have also disabled the mod for the entire for sale forum, there's no need for good/bad ranking there.

I already had a bad against me and the post has nothing bad about it. If people can do the point system anonymously then the old system is 200 times better.

I have made it so that you can now see who gave you the rating in your notifications. And as stated earlier bad ratings no longer effect your reputation. It may look like you lost something just due to the thanks stats no longer being displayed in the postbit but rest assured your reputation bar tells the whole story.

I agree with Peakaboo. since the negative has been disabled there seems to be no difference between the original 'thanks' button and the thumbs up button except now we get notified. The Thanks was much better and easier IMO

Hey 10- is it possible to try it out by only implementing in one area for a while to see how it works/rates? If wee use it in just the General areas, then good/bad feedback should be fairly rewarding. Obviously, it can get out of control with its use in the garbage pile section where members can yea/nea opinionated bs.

how bout eliminating the point/thank you system ,in the garbage pile to avoid the yea/nay abuseof the priviledge of having a point system , and keep it as it present state in the general open forums? just a idea for thought!
