If it's the power supply caps you're speaking of they should be 3-30MFD@400V in series. My old 12 tube Phantom uses the same setup, but tripled and I replaced them with 100UF units. It didn't make a big difference in the cleanliness of the signal, but made me feel better about having a cleaner power supply. Most of the D&A units used similar power supply components.
PS... I have an extra 8 tube Maverick and a Varmit 450 if anyone is interested. They need cleaning up, but appear to be fully functional. With the Phantom which I bought new when they first came out and an 8 pill SS base unit I have little need of these. The Maverick is the original gray unit with 4 non plate cap tubes driving 4 6LQ6s. If interested I can set up a private eBay sale that protects both parties. I almost bought an old DAK10 from someone with a money order until I googled his name and discovered that he's sold the same radio a number of times with no one ever receiving it or getting their money back! It was a close call....glad I looked....in fact that's how I found this forum,,,,and a great forum it seems to be. From what I've read so far I see a lot of experience and knowledge here!

Wow!... I'm sorry..... 30uf sounded awful low to me so I just looked at my schematic..... The Phantom uses 3-100UF caps as I suggested.... you could still go higher if you can find larger value caps at that voltage rating. If you can find 150-200UF caps @ 450V you'd be doing well.

All Electronics in Los Angeles has snap in caps which can be used with a little wiring between them. They have 220UF at 450 volts for $1.50 each. Usually the D&A amps have the three taped together in a bundle anyway. Snap in caps would work just as easily as radial lead caps.
