Default Parts for Johnson Messenger 250?

Is there any place to buy parts for the old Johnson Messenger 250"?
I need new meter and lights.

Most electronic suppliers like Mouser and Newark carry the bulbs. A few types of bulbs can be found at the local Radio Hack store or the auto parts store depending on the lamp base. Sometimes there is a number printed or stamped in the bulb base for easier identification. Check what voltage is between the bulb socket center conductor and chassis ground and note that. Some are 6, 12 or 120 Volts. AC or DC current doesn't matter to the bulb.

I think you'll have to look for a parts rig to get a Johnson meter. On the surface it looks like the meter is the same on the older tube hybrid Johnson Messenger 223. Unfortunately both typically fetch upwards of $50 on the bay working or not. Some radio web sites have an "items wanted section" You could post a request for a parts rig there maybe.

The big ole' Johnson 250 and 223's are great radio's with plenty of audio.
