    Default MACO V5/8

JUST WONDERING ,,,, i was wondering if there is a simple "mod" that can be done to upgrade my v5/8 so it can handle higher wattage? i am gonna get my beams up when it warms up, but this groundplane serves me well, if it could handle 2k that would be great....

here are the steps for modifying the v58 antenna:

    1. Remove Maco V58 from mast pipe......sell to mudduck.

    2. Install Maco V5000 for up to 5000 watts power handling.

    Enjoy!!!

Trust me the v5000 doesn't even handle close to 5000w.

It is an easy mod remove the small wire for tuning and replace with center conductor from coaxial that will handle the desired wattage
