Default whats the best way for maco 103c

I have a maco 3 element beam still in the box. The reason its still in the box is because i still havnt figured the best way to get this thing up in the air.

I want to put it on top of my house on an eve...but what size pipe would i use?

I've made more contacts with mine set at vertical than flat. As 555 stated a rat shack rotor will work fine.

If you want something real nice and sturdy, that you can mount a mast and rotor in check out glenmartin roof top towers, you can get them as small at 4 feet I believe and they mount at the peaks of rooftops. Not cheap but very nice.

No doubt as going on the flatside, 1.25-1.5 " electrical thin wall pipe at walmart, aliance cheapo rotor, little juice, you'll be in business.
Flatside also less windload......L@@K on ebay there's always a el-cheapo alliance 4 wire rotor on there.

Probably not a great ides to put it on an eave though. You would want it to be at least 16 feet above the house, but if you do it that way, then use 2" iron pipe or at least galvanized, just may have to upgrade your clamps. Polarize them with whatever most of your talking preference is going to be. I recommend horizontal on any beam and re-invest in a cheap vertical antenna for local, but if you only use 1 antenna, then set it up vertical until you are better suited for changes.
